Emma needs a fresh start from a life of thieving. Alex needs to bring her to justice. But what they really need is one another. A short & sweet Revolutionary romance
Emma Miller has spent her entire life trying to support her father–even when that meant helping in his criminal schemes. When she finally has a chance to break away, Emma takes her brother to Philadelphia. They don’t know anyone and have no (legal) way to earn a living, but they’re ready to make a clean start where no one knows about their past.
Despite her assumed name, banker Alex Schaeffer knows exactly who Miss Miller is–she’s one of the schemers who just defrauded his family company in New York. As he takes the pair into his home to keep tabs on them, he finds himself more interested in Emma’s kindness than legal retribution.
When their fathers descend on Philadelphia, Alex and Emma’s newfound love will be put to the test. Can a gentleman really love a thief?
Can't get enough revolutionary love? Set during the pivotal time of the American Revolution, Sisters of the Revolution is a family saga of sweet, clean, historical romance
Audrey Glenn is a voracious reader who has long loved historical romance. She's a big fan of the classics—Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, North and South, to name a few. She loves studying little-known stories of American history and holds a degree in Political Science. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and kids in a perpetual fixer-upper.
What a thoroughly entertaining read! As the book starts out I felt that Alex was the most laid back and unconcerned person of the Revolutionary Period! When he quite accidentally runs into Emma and her brother, he is so delighted to offer lodging, food and other necessities (or just simply pleasantries) after learning they are related. This is a delightful book with a little pinch of romance and mystery that will leave you smiling! Enjoyable novella.
I enjoyed this story as it was very different from all the murder mystery that I normal read. The author has some good thing to say about the many character in the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who like romance novels that are very mild.
This was a cute quick read! The storyline progressed naturally but had a quick resolution. I enjoyed the characters! Though I would have liked a more finite ending concerning a couple of the side characters, it was a good read!
