-- More than 60 projects and more than 100 helpful tips from our experts. -- Essential tools and techniques for the beginning gardener. -- Easy-to-reference seasonal gardening checklists.
Easy read with simple step-by-step instructions and examples, like the title says. However, I have no idea how practical these instructions are as I don't have a garden to test them out on.
One setback, though. Some larger photos are sort of blurry, probably due to low quality prints.
This book provided an adequate introduction to gardening with a few helpful tips for things like starting a garden bed, pruning a rose bush, and composting. However, other suggestions in the book, like removing rust from garden tools with used machine oil and sand, are not as practical or environmentally friendly. Readers may want to seek out additional information before they implement some of these suggestions in their own lawns and gardens. Also, some of the images the book used were blurry and of low resolution.
I liked the explanation of the different styles and functions of gardens. The how-to section was dull to read straight through, but useful nonetheless.
