Rate this book
Four former best friends are reunited at their 25th high school reunion. Little did they know this reunion would rekindle their friendship and lead them to an adventure of a lifetime.

Andrea, Rita, Lauren, and Monica promised each other that they would always remain close but life happened leading them to go their separate ways and fall out of touch. Over two decades later, the four decide to dust off their high school yearbook and take a blissful trip down memory lane. As they flip through the pages, they are reminded of their senior class trip that was cancelled due to the sudden death of a fellow classmate. They discover an old promise they made to each other to take a trip together someday.

The reunion ends and the four friends head back to their cold-weather states. Little did the ladies know the whirlwind that the next year would be. Monica has had enough. She picks up the phone and calls her friends…

“I think we should make good on that promise we made and have ourselves the trip of a lifetime. No more waiting. No more putting it off. No more excuses. Life is too short…”

This is by far my favorite in the series of these very short reads. I love the connection of these classmates and how they support one another.

This is book six of the Caribbean series and is the final episode of the short story series and tells the story of Monica. She has been ignoring her three friends, Lauren, Rita and Andrea, calls and texts and they realise something must be wrong, but are unable to get in touch with her at all. Andrea and her fiancé Simon are travelling around the country due to his new recruiting job and one of his posts is in Monica’s home city. So whilst Simon is at work, she endeavours to find out what is wrong. They know that the company she has worked for years, has closed down under black clouds, so they know she has lost her job, but nothing else. Luckily Andrea is the type of person to keep past correspondence from her old friends, so has her address. But when she gets there, her door is open and her flat seems to have been ransacked, with many valuables still lying in the open.

She is found in the flat by the building manager, who tells her the open house isn’t until the following week. When she explains she is looking for Monica, he tells her that she handed in her keys and didn’t even ask for her deposit back. This is how she left it! Something must be seriously wrong! She can’t locate her at her workplace, nor her home, so she could be anywhere in the city. The only place that she can remember, is a pub Monica would go to each week and it is the only chance she has left. She questions the barman and is lucky to find out she is a regular still and has been frequenting the place daily recently. But when she does spot her coming in, she is shocked at Monica’s appearance.

She approaches Monica and tries to talk with her, but it is hard going. Monica has pretty much given up on life and doesn’t know what to do with her future and left it too late to find another job before the company went under, never believing all the rumours about the criminal activity going on. She’s not desperate for money having worked hard in a well-paying job for years, but has lost all motivation or hope for a future. All her friends are now in relationships and she is a spare wheel. What she will do and if Andrea and her other friends can persuade her to do anything, is the finale of the book and series. All four friends are together once again at the end, with problems facing Monica, more than the others, but happiness could be just around the corner! A fitting end to the storyline and the series, but better to read them all at the same time, rather than as such short stories. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This book was no. 6 in a series. Considering the total of all 6 books, It was a story of 4 high school friends and their connection. Overall, I thought the story was predictable, simplistic, but, of course I kept reading. Some of the events seemed a bit far-fetched- shark attack then bear attack...hmmm?

Also thought some of the characters were not strong, capable women who seemed to doubt that any one could love them.

This book had lots of grammatical errors that I found less than pleasing.

I am not a fan of a story being broken into small, short parts.

This was a sweet ending to a long journey. This book focused on Monica who is floundering. She's jobless, soon to be homeless and all alone. The girls decide to give their trip of a lifetime another chance before Monica runs off to Europe to start over. Only this time, the guys are coming and Monica is the only single. Will she open herself up and find love? Wonderful ending to a lovely story.

Only read this if you have read books 1-5 in the series. Each book picks up where the previous book ends. No spoilers here with this review. The story is captivating, a quick read and enjoyable. The characters are well developed and easy to get to know. A great book for a weekend spent curled up with a good book.

This is the last part of this story. A tiny bit weak than the rest but still very enjoyable.
This book is about Monica and how she finds her true love when she least expected it.
The pact the four friends made when they were at high school has proved to be better than any of them would have ever thought.

Just finished a truly awesome series about four high school friends who made a pact to take a journey of a lifetome. I truly loved being on their journey through this series. Each friend had a story to tell and their story was definitely worth reading about. Coral Harper has written an amazing series and I highly recommend this series

Where is the proofreader and the editor?

So glad I read this for free. Story was sappy and predictable and implausible. But worst part was the terribly sloppy writing and hundreds of errors . I have read plenty of books with the occasional typo but this one was so bad I found myself correcting phrases, sentences and typos as I read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this final book in the series. I had thought the books had gotten away from the theme but boy was I wrong. This ending definitely did not disappoint me. I received and advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Fun reading

Read all 6 in two days since they are so short. Fun, feel good stories, but the editing is terrible. Someone really fell down on that job. But I do love happily ever after stories.

I loved reading Monica’s happily ever after. Just when things are bad, God seems to shine a light and guide to new beginnings. The pact mad in high school garnered a trip that cost things but in the end gave more. Great series!

The Trip of a Lifetime Series

The entire series was wonderful! The first book focused on the four women and their friendship, then each of the next ones focused on one of the women and her story. All were unexpected and wonderful‼️

Wedding

Books are too easy to read. They are also very innocent in their writing. But very good for light reading.
