I recently delved into the world of custom dice, and I say, this book definitely gave me an excuse *ahem* reason to continue to enjoy the wonders of d6 dice games.
First, I appreciate that this is for d6 because these can be found nearly anywhere, at anytime. A few games recommend playing cards as a additional item to assist game play. Obviously, they too, are readily, and widely available. Second, I welcome the decision to have this spiral bound- so very easy to reference during play as it lays flat. Third, I admire that the layout, font, and Examples of Play are well thought through to make readable text which contributes to ease of play. Lastly, I want to applaud whomever is responsible for the illustrations. They are marvelous, adding only another fantastic layer to this wonderful offering. I am thrilled to know there is already another in the works. The only thing it is missing for me, is solo games. I do love an opportunity to play alone occasionally.
Nice, simple and quick dice games. There are games for two players and for several players and for co-ops too. The rules are explained well and the examples of play help to erase any possible misconceptions.
I tried few of the games with some of my non-gamer friends and they worked okay.
