Prior knowledge needed
If you know nothing or very little about electrical engineering, this book is not going to help you. You need to start with the bare basics, or you are not going to understand what is going on. Get the book on basic electronics or you are not going to use your time wisely.

A simple introduction to Arduino. Though my edition has quite a few translation errors (hence the three stars), I found most things easy to understand.
