Each chapter introduces some basic concepts, sounds, words, grammar, etc. but just a very basic intro, and briefly talk. For me, the methods in the book are not anything new, so just get familiar with the sound of the alphabet, grab some core 1500 words, get someone a native speaker and use the target language every day and as possible as you can. Then you could be proficient in that language.
The recommended apps are not so useful and all have to pay to subscribe. Some might be a famous app but just so so...
