Patricia had grown tired of spinning her webs among familiar countertops and kitchen tables. She wanted to see more and new things; to venture out from the only home she'd ever known and explore the world that surely waited beyond her walls. Surprisingly - and a bit funnily, at that - the final nudge she so desperately needed came in the form of a talkative fly she'd recently caught in her web. The decision made to depart on her greatest and, admittedly, first adventure, the spider Patricia donned a lovely red hat and tucked a little brown suitcase under one of her many legs. A spider with a suitcase? Fancy that!
It was a free story on my Kindle. I will never look at a cute little house spider the same again. Very cute short story with deeper meanings throughout. I'm the first to rate it, but to say anything in detail is a spoiler.
