I have listened to Mark Douglas's "trading in the zone" audio book and read Mark Douglas's "The disciplined trader" book. This is the first book I have read by John Andres and it sounds like a very solid approach which is much like Mark Douglas's approach. I look forward to exploring courses and other information provided by this author. But more importantly, I look forward to trying my hand at Probability Based Options Trading. I've paid the Forex and Crypto markets a bit more tuition than I should have, and now I'm looking for a smarter / better approach. Selling premium and approaching trading from a math based / mechanical method appears to be much more intelligent.
It's not really a book. It's a pamphlet to promote the author's other book and online courses.
If you are a newbie, you will still a couple of decent ideas from the books. The author correctly points out the statistical advantage of writing options. The 60-page book still feels overly repetitive. The ideas in the book can be written in a short blog post.
Simple and clear explanation of the role of probability in option trading particularly for consistent profit. The need to be a self directed trader for the seek of your financial future. Essentially slow and steady approach. I recommend this book for serious minded traders.
I read through it once and will read it again. I’m fairly new to options trading and the mistakes that I have made were noted in this book as well. I’m looking forward to reading his other book.
Lot of verbiage and little substance! Plenty of platitudes without explaining how the probability method works. It was not helpful or practical reading.
