The Basic steps to start a Successful Baofend Journey

The UV-5R is the basic radio to start in the GMRS/HAM world, and this book is by far the definitive companion guide for a strong beginning from Basic radio programming concepts to the chirp programming installation, drivers setup, and programmability. You will find all his information in the manual and on the Internet, but if you are like me, you will enjoy Allan's great work, summarizing all this in a great guide. Fully
recommended.

An understandable beginners guide

If you're like me and are fascinated with radio communications but have little to no background in programming or using your new UV-5R, this is good you. The manual that comes with it is clear as mud. This book is written to actually help you get that radio programmed and set up the way you want. It's basic, but sometimes you just want an easy to understand guide.

Getting started with the Baofeng UV-5R adds a lot of information and explanations to the user manual that comes with the radio. The author gives the information in easy-to-understand language and assumes the reader doesn't know certain things, which is a reasonable assumption with this type of how-to book. I will keep this as a reference as I use my radio.

Has no bs quick reference to the things I need on the uv-5r and a good crash course on CHIRP. I'm happy someone put this together. Imo it prob could have been a blog post but the ebook is just as good and portable.
