Bottomed Out is the fourth book in the Moto X series by Brooke May. This is a great contemporary romance, with chemistry, drama, realism, interesting characters, motor cross, family friendship, banter, and more.
I have read a few of Ms. May’s books now, but this is the first book from the Moto X series for me. I enjoyed the story, and am happy that I was able to read it as a standalone. I will be going back to read the rest of the series to see what happens there, too.
I really like the way Brooke May brings her characters to life, giving them so much realism and true believability. I also like Ms. May’s emotive and inviting writing style and how she is able to make me ‘feel’ everything her characters have, and are, going through.
Jax Hunt is such an interesting character. He is so determined not to let his disability define him- wanting to prove to himself and the world, just what he is capable of. Then Lennox Austin walks into his life- and gives him a bold new goal. But will a protective brother get in the way and ruin any chance they might have had?
Enjoy!!

Thank you, Brooke May!

This is probably a 2.5 star rating... Most of it was nothing special, although the usual “he probably doesn’t need a van with a ramp” AND “how lucky for him that sex is so easy” applies.

Also, the author chose to make the H more manly with the age-old “let’s throw in a bunch of curse words and talk about getting drunk a lot.” In UTAH. They seemed to have alcohol everywhere, including bottles of hard liquor. Pretty unusual, as I understand it, for a state that’s famous for low-alcohol “near beer” and bars that require membership.

CW: MENTION OF SUICIDE

I really disliked the flippant treatment of Owen and his issues. We got ZERO explanation for why he’s overprotective (or what Len’s bad choices were - talk about patronizing), what he does in life other than yell like an animal, how/why he’s finding it hard to adapt to life.

Then, when he dies, Len is kind of sad and... that’s it. Jax makes some REALLY thoughtless comments, but they’re fine. The families meet and everyone is happy... despite the fact that they JUST lost their son and brother. Yeah, grief is different for everybody, but come on!

Bottomed Out by Brooke May a thrilling five-star read. This is number four in the Moto X series, but they can be read as stand-alone as this is my first read in the series and my first by this author and I don’t feel lost in the story. Jax Hunt will make you warm to him, no matter how much he doesn’t want to accept it. I started this late the other night and then couldn’t put it down until I had finished the story, it just wrapped me up in the pages. It also started a great reading curve, that I am loving as it started a great curve of amazing reads. Jax and Lennox have such chemistry they light up the page, but as with all chemistry you need to make sure you do everything correctly or it can be explosive and that’s where Lennox brother steps in, and the secondary characters in this story make the story, it’s the little chats that happen that start with no consequence but give you the greatest insight. I will be going back to check more from this author especially as I just discovered two on my TBR pile!!!

I enjoyed this book. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. I enjoyed being pulled in right from the beginning by the characters. They made the story engaging and wanting to know what would happen next with them. This is a story about Jax. He has a disability that makes him feel he has to prove himself to everyone around him. He is determined to prove that he can do just as much as anyone else. What happens when he meets Lennox is not something he expected. He is instantly attracted to her and is ready to accomplish what he has set out to do. The one thing that is blocking his way with Lennox is her brother. Will he be able to get Lennox or will she run the other way? I had no problem connecting with the characters. They made the story for me. They were strong and most full of heart that are supportive of each other. A story of strength and love. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This book is one steamy read I could not wait to get my hands on! When I tell you just from the summary alone, I was hooked but once I actually started reading, I could not put it down. Seemed like I was obsessed to finish reading it just to write this review!
Jax Hunt is a disabled young man who is itching to make some changes in his life. He loves his career but it’s not what he dreamed it’d be. His friends are his ride-or-dies and an understanding family. Jax has a lot to prove to himself but wants to show the world what he can do.
Lennox Austin walks into his life where she notices him. As much as he wants to prove himself, Lennox’ brother is the only thing in Jax’ way but Jax eyes are on the prize that is Jax.
Will Jax accomplish what he’s setting out to do or will he fold under pressure?
This book did not disappoint in the least! Pick up and be entertained in multiple ways; you won’t regret it.

This series is great and I love following each character. Jaxson was injured during a motorcycle accident. He lost use of his legs. He’s still a great guy and has so much to give but it’s hard to find someone because people can’t look pass the wheelchair. That is until a special someone shows up. I loved watching this story grow. You get to see real friendships, watch love grow & you see obstacle’s that people go through. This book seems real on so many levels. I love it

So I read this after reading book five in the series. I really enjoyed being able to read them as standalone and not in order. This is a really good book just like book five. Jax and Lennox are wonderful characters and definitely enjoyed their chemistry. Can’t wait to read the others in the series.

When you have a disability it is hard not to be defined by it but Jax has lived his whole life to fight against conformity, but will a chance meeting with Lennox be enough to fight when all the odds are against him.

Jax Hunt has always achieved everything he puts his mind to, when people told him he couldn't he proved them wrong. He loves his career and has people who he believes in and trust more than just friends they have become a family of sorts. Jax is always trying to overcome his disability as this is what most people see but when Lennox enters his life he sees there is more than just riding and that she may fill a longing in him.

Lennox walks in and is instantly drawn to Jax, the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts. The only obstacle in the way is her overprotective brother who tries to do everything to divert her from the path of Jax but is Jax's will enough to fight for the relationship.

I loved this story and although it is part of a series this can be read as a standalone book. I loved the interaction of the main characters Jax and Lennox and thought the chemistry of these two just poured from the page. The story is well written and the secondary characters are a brilliant accompaniment to the main story and people. The character of Jax is fiery and determined which you are just willing along as the story progresses, with the character of Lennox being a smart, independent sassy partner in crime was a great match.

This is the first book I have read by this author and this will not be the last, I need to download the series and get started on entering this wonderful world you have created.

Bottomed Out (Moto X Series Book 4)
By Brooke May
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book Bottomed Out (Moto X Series Book 4) by Brooke May. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a romantic story that is sure to hook you in. I loved reading about the characters of Jax Hunt and Lennox Austin. Jax is a man who doesn’t like that some only see him for his disability. He has good friends and a family that mostly understands him. He wants to be seen by a woman for who he is. He then meets Lennox. Lennox is an intelligent, strong, and beautiful woman. She can’t miss the way that Jax makes her feel. The only problem, her overprotective brother. When the two of them meet there is a connection and chemistry between them. What does the future hold for Lennox and Jax? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has romantic moments that make the temperature in the room rise. There are heartwarming and heartbreaking moments as well. My emotions went up and down the entire time I was reading this book. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are friends and family to Jax and Lennox. This is an amazing story that had me turning pages wanting to know what will happen next and how it all will end. I highly recommend reading it.

Bottomed Out by Brooke May is the fourth book in her Moto X series. I have not read the first three that I understand go together and after finishing Bottomed Out, I need to pick them up as I want to learn about Axle and Paige and yes, you could read Bottomed Out as a standalone in a sense that it is a story in its own rights but as you can see from my statement, I feel that I need to go back to the beginning of the series … I have read Brooke May’s writing before and her Back in the Ring is something that I still remember at times and that makes the writer’s name to be on my ‘to be read’ writers’ list …
Bottomed Out is the story of Jax Hunt and Lennox Austin. Jax was on top of the moto world but as it is with any racing sport, he did not walk away from an accident on his own so he has had to learn to live without racing … Lennox bursts into his life and gives him another thrilling goal to go chasing after … We have two strong people thrown together and we will grow along with them throughout the story and I promise you laughter and I promise you tears and I promise you will not regret the hours you will spend with the crew! Buckle up as it is going to be one thrilling ride!

Bottomed Out by Brooke May is such a great read. I enjoyed this book from the first page. I loved how strong of a character Jax is. He definitely defied the odds. He may not have his dream career but he has a great job and is great at it. His friends cheered him on every step of the way.
When every thought he couldn’t do it, he did it and did it well.

He was always a stud but now, his luck has changed. When he meets Lennox, his luck changes. Jax and Lennox have chemistry right away. The only issue is her brother!!! He tries everything. He’s a very overprotective brother but, is Jax willing to give up and let him win?
I loved the characters in this book and I loved the storyline.
This was a great feel good read to show the average person , no matter what happens, you can always overcome just about anything.

This is the fourth book in the Moto X series, and this is the first book that I have read from the author. This is a really good book and i was not disappointed. This can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the first 3 books before you start on this one.
Jax Hunt is tired of only being seen for his disability, he is ready for a change in his life. He has a career that he may have not had dreamed of but loves no matter what. He has stubborn friends who'd do anything for him, and a family who attempt to understand his situation. Lennox Austin strides into his life with her unique eye color and entertaining personality. He is consumed by her just as much as he is to prove himself to the world, but an overprotective brother sits in his way. Will Jax and Lennox make it out in the end? Is Jax ready to Bottom out?
I highly recommend this book for any and everyone.

Bottomed Out (Moto X Book 4) by Brooke May is a romance story and one of my favourites by her. Brooke is able to write a story with emotions in just the right way that always leaves you wanting more. This one is both a little heartbreaking and heartwarming. There is a twist that certainly makes things interesting.

Jax is a sweetie but he is dealing with a disability that makes him feel like he isn’t the man he used to be but his emotions are all over the place when a certain woman walks into his life and an overprotective brother .

I can’t wait to see what will come next from Brooke.

This is such an inspirational book. Jax got hurt in an accident and has been struggling with his self confidence especially when it comes to the ladies. He wants to be seen for the person that he is and not for his disability. Lennox crosses his path and the attraction is immediate and intense. Jax decides that he isn't going to let his disability keep him from happiness any longer but it's going to be an uphill struggle to try to make things work. This was such a great book you're definitely not going to want to miss. It's inspirational and has you look at life from a different perspective, and realize that circumstances aren't insurmountable if you want something badly enough.

Bottomed Out (Moto X Book 4) by Brooke May is one of the most inspirational novels that I have read. I love how Brooke May uses an everyday thing and turns it into a romance story. This novel is great for anyone who is needing a pick me up. Having a disability is always challenging and trying to live your life different because of it is hard. Jax Hunt doesn't let that stop him from doing what he loves or from finding love.

This was a cute read. Not my usual style and since I read this out of order, I felt like I was missing some stuff.

I didn't like the lack of closure/resolution with the brother and I felt like a lot of the depth there was left unexplored.

Although part of a series this book can be read easily as a standalone story. Ex motor cross star Jax Hunt is fed up of people only seeing his disability and although he has a lot of positives in his life, his family, friends and a job he enjoys he is looking for a change. Jax’s does his best to prove to everyone that he can still do anything that someone with two working legs can do but now Jax’s is ready to push himself even more and prove the same to the rest of the world. When he first meets Lennox Austin he is instantly attracted to her exotic beauty and unique eye colour and is soon just as attracted to her entertaining personality, and even more so to the fact that Lennox actually sees him, Jax, as a man not as a man with a disability. Jax’s is willing to risk it all to achieve his goals and to ensure that Lennox does not turn away from him like so many others, he just has to deal with his overprotective brother first.
This is a great story who’s main character is in a wheelchair following an accident, however the storyline is more about how his disability does not define him or stop him from achieving his goals. I loved the two main characters, Jax’s and Lennox and their chemistry was instant but different situations and people kept preventing their relationship from developing. I really felt for Jax and was cheering him and Lennox on to their happy ever after. An enjoyable read and I look forward to reading other books in this authors ‘Motto X’ series.

Jax suffered a career-ending injury when he was involved in a motocross crash during a race. Now confined to a wheelchair, Jax works for one of his old sponsors and has found a different way to be involved in a world that he loves. His boss wants him to get some up and coming racers, Parker and Paige, to take part in an upcoming event. To get to the twins, he has to get through Paige's right-hand woman, Lennox. Len is a mechanic for Paige and is sent over to Jax's office to see what kind of offer Jax's company puts on the table. Their is an immediate attraction between the two. However, Len doesn't date due to her overprotective brother. Jax and Len go on secret dates but, when their secret is discovered, a series of events tests the strength of their budding relationship. Will they stay together and make it work, or is their baggage too much to handle?

I found this book to be full of emotions. Jax is a strong character that has not let the events of the past complete sour his view of the future. I felt for his best friend, and roommate, Axle. There are previous books in this series that I have not read, but I think I am going to check them out to get caught up on his story. All the characters were interesting and it will be interesting to see any future books that they are in!

I loved this story for a few different reasons. First off he is/was a motor cross racer. That is something not seen too often in romance books. Secondly he is wheelchair bound. I loved seeing and getting his take on things now that he is unable to be so popular. He has new struggles and challenges just in daily functions. It’s great to read how he as adapted. I won’t even mention the ladies. Lastly it’s weird how this accident affected his family. it is frustrating and in parts endearing. Then there is Lennox Austin. She is not what I expected but It turns out she is perfect for Jax.

I love the relationship between Jax and his roomie and Levi. They speak to each other only as friends can. Which includes arguments, poking fun at each other and serious talks. Then I feel Michelle deserves a nod of recognition as well. While a small character she did so much for Jax.

I enjoyed reading this and finished it at a quick pace. I loved getting to know these characters. The author wrote them so well they feel real...I loved that! I have not read any other books in this series. I did not feel like I was missing anything and this is easily a stand alone with trailers to others in the series.

This is the first book I have from this author and she blew my mind. I absolutely love sports romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the fourth book in the Moto X series. You can read this book as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited to read this story. I dropped everything and started it right away. I fell in love with these characters right away. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.

Jax Hunt was on the top of the world of Moto crossing. He was the best of the best and one race changed all that. Jax is in a serious accident that causes him to be bound in a wheelchair. He now has a totally different life. Jax works for a company that plans events for Motocross racing but he knows he will never get on a bike again. He is living his life and then the gorgeous Lennox comes into his life. She is unique, beautiful, and very bold. Jax is instantly attracted to her but her brother is standing in their way of true happiness. Will Jax be able to get a woman to love all of him or will he be alone for good?

Jaxson Hunt is hard working, handsome, charming, and overall a great guy. The only thing he is missing is the use of his legs. After a terrible dirt bike accident, he is unable to walk. He still hangs out with his two best friends Axle and Levi. His life is not the only one affected by this. Axle refuses to ride a bike again, as he was racing with Jax when the accident occurred. Even his mom has became a different person, one who doesn’t really talk to him and despises the fact that his is still friends with Axle. But Jax tries to make the best out of his situation. “I get a guaranteed parking spot everywhere, and people make room for me whenever they see me coming.”
He works out all the time and goes to work at a job that he loves. He just can’t find a woman who can look past the fact that he is in a wheelchair. That is until, one day at work, a woman named Lennox comes in for a meeting. She is unlike any other woman that Jax has met, he is captivated by her. He can’t get her off of his mind, he throws himself into working harder and spending more time at the gym. Will Jax get this unique woman of his dreams or will he just have to live without someone by his side?

This is not my first read from Brooke May and will definitely not be my last. I have always loved the way that Brooke May can pull the emotions to the surface of the story and use them in a way to tell it with a little bit of extra love. I have to say this has to be one of my favorites that I have read from her in awhile and I really loved the characters that this story includes all main and supporting make an impact perfectly. I am a huge fan of Jax, the main male lead in this story. He is a sweetheart with a disability that keeps him from feeling like he fits in or can stand as tall or strong as those surrounding him. He most certainly isn’t looking for the kind of emotions that he experiences when Lennox walks into his life. Then there is the added stress of her brother, a twist that will make things interesting. I loved how this book played out and how it even didn’t go as I had anticipated in some places and I just loved it. I can’t wait to see what will come next from the ever talented Brooke May.

Bottomed Out by Brooke May was a great 5 star read and book four in the Moto X series.
I was pulled in right from the beginning.

Jax was a moto racer who had it all, women, money and so much more. That is until someone made a wrong move during a race and caused an accident that changed his whole life. He is tired of everyone giving him the pity looks at treating him differently. He is determined to prove that his disability won’t keep him down.

When he meets Lennox things change, she is just what he needs in his life. You can feel their connection come off the pages. She was a great character with a great personality. Only problem is her brother. Will he be able to make things work with Lennox?

Overall I really enjoyed this book. All of the characters were great. It can be read as a stand alone. If you're looking for a great romance and a story about determination and moving forward this is the one for you. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.

Bottomed Out is the fourth novel in the Moto X series by Brooke May. This is my first novel by this author.

The summary caught my interest and I could not wait to read it.

Jax Hunt has a career as a Motorcross racer. He is tired of being seen only for his disability after having an accident. His family and friends are very supportive, but he still wants to be seen as himself, not his disability.

Lennox Austin strides into his life, with her enjoyable personality and her different eye color and Jax finally meets someone that sees him.

But the relationship sees conflict when someone tries to keep them apart. Will they find a way to stay together?

While I haven’t read the previous books, I didn’t think feel lost at all and was able to dive into the story.

The story caught me off guard with how emotional it was. With heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, I really loved this and I know this will be a story that I won’t forget about it and want to read it again.

This was a really good story that drags you in from the beginning. The characters are well written and you only want them to succeed and get what they want out of life.

Jax use to motocross star, who had his own career on the right track and was heading towards being the best in the business until a freak accident leaves him in a wheelchair and unable to walk again.

Despite the accident Jax rebuilds his life, working in a job he loves. All he wants is to find a woman who can see past his disability to the man that he is.

He thinks he will never find that until Lennox comes into his life and blows his world to pieces.

Lennox works for another rider who is a rising star and from their first meeting the attraction between them is strong but one thing is in their way. Lennox's overprotective brother.

Lennox can see the man Jax is and see past his disability. She is everything Jax is looking for but can they overcome her brother's possessiveness to be together.

Bottomed Out (Moto X Series Book 4) by Brooke May. This book was amazing! I have loved this series but this was one of my favorites. I love Jax Hunt and he's my new book boyfriend :). This is the story of Jax Hunt and Lennox Austin. Jax has always been determined and hard working but since he has a disability he feels like he has to work twice as hard to prove himself. He has set out to do anything that a person with 2 working legs can do and a lot of the time does it better. When he meets Lennox Austin he feels like she sees him for who he really is not his disability. Jax has always been consumed with being better at all things than the next guy and now he's consumed with this beautiful, intelligent and strong woman. The only thing standing in their way is a very overprotective brother who is looking out for his sister! Will Jax be able to prove to Lennox's brother that he is trustworthy? Read Bottomed out to find out.

Bottomed Out is the fourth book in the Moto X series by Brooke May. This was a wonderful story between Jax Hunt and Lennox Austin. Jax is disabled and is just trying to prove he can do anything that a fully able person can. He wants to change and has a wonderful support system behind him in his friends and family. Just when he is willing to push the limit, Lennox comes into his life. His attraction to Lennox becomes just as important to him as his mission to prove the world wrong about his disability. Jax has an overprotective brother that could get in the way between him and Lennox, but is he willing to risk it all to reach his dreams and goals? The author did a magnificent job portraying Jax’s feelings. Throughout the whole story I was able to feel right along with him. Jax was a true inspiration and it was a great story of his personal growth. There was laughter, there were tears, and there were true heartwarming moments as I experienced the relationship of Jax and Lennox.

Bottomed Out (Moto X Book 4) by Brooke May
4 Stars!!!!

I really have a bad habit of reading series out of order. This is the first book I have read from this author and I was not disappointed. I didn't find it hard to keep up with what was going on or felt like I had missed anything. I really found the author's style refreshing and the whole concept unique.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Jax and Len. The characters really just came to life and I felt as though I was there as the story unfolded. There was just the right mix of drama and the romance. I found that everything just seemed to come together and I could not put the book down. I like how the author was able to incorporate Jax's condition after his accident and how he was able to get back to his life. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future and this series.
