I enjoyed the concept of Ikigai, however I felt the author went too far with the concept that your career must be your Ikigai. I enjoy my career greatly and would not want to change, however I don’t feel that what I’m doing is the purpose of my life, nor do I feel that it must be, as the author states.
I hoped this book would give a little insight into discovering one’s ikigai, it was more like fortune cookie repeats until your eyes blurred. There were an unbelievable amount of typos and grammatical errors that I tried my best to overlook. Time waste, complete time waste.
This book is about Japanese philosophy of life in search of happiness and peace. It is good to know the wonderful facts about Japanese life. I have read this book more than once and I have lost myself in their world every time I read it. I hope you will enjoy reading this book.
