Helpful guide for knitting newbies

I was taught to knit back in high school, but I have long forgotten how. So, I got this book as more of a new knowledge teacher. I found the author's narrative easy to follow and understand. I did not get lost once. I learned all the basic stitches and how each is best used. I also learned which yarn works with which gauge of knitting needle, or what kind of projects are suited to each kind of needle. Overall, I would highly recommend this book.

Very impressed

This is one of my favorite knitting books I have read. This is full of pictures that really help visualize what’s being described. This actually has more then I have seen in other books. Each chapter focuses on a specific topic and then goes to chapters with projects you can do. I found the directions thorough and there were many different types of projects from blankets, to a purse, to a sweater, and many more.

Helpful!

Great for learning knitting styles and patterns! Could really use an editor, but that doesn't take away from the value of the contents.

A good guide

A good guide for beginners even if I personally would have preferred that the instructions for different stitches come before the patterns.

Didn't find anything

Didn't find anything I was interested in making. And it was a lot like other books I have for beginning knitters.
