Ewwww. But in a Good Way

Our annual family vacation at the beach is wonderful--except for the long drive from our land-locked home to the ocean.

This past summer, I rode with my daughter and 10-year-old grandson, and I had the foresight to purchase this book to take along. It made our ride through sporadic downpours and delays caused by the resulting fender benders along the sides of the highway much more bearable.

The book is short (78 pages) but lasted just long enough to hold our attention until the ocean was nearly in sight.

The 10-year-old read the options and his mother and I gave our reactions. He was expecting a rapid response, and was surprised when we seriously debated the choices from aesthetic, nutritional and economic viewpoints. He began chiming in, and we had many conversations about the book.
