An unusual and gem of a book published first in 1958. I rated it five stars because of the content which I have seen little of in the mainstream literature. The author argues that most maladies (from headaches, migraines, even cardio vascular disease and weight gain) are triggered by exposure to allergic foods or other allergic materials. By measuring the pulse (a high pulse...greater than 86) one should be able to identify these allergens which can then be avoided if so desired. This concept was not mentioned in many of the other books on health I have read to date. This suggests regular monit0ring of the blood pressure and heartbeat / pulse while indicative of present health concerns could also be predictors of future health. We know this is true of blood pressure but less so of the heartbeat. The book is easy to read and one of the only books I have read that defines how systolic and diastolic blood pressures are measured. Recommended ...if you can find it!!!!

The more I read these old medical books, the more I'm convinced that money decides what gets "cured" and why almost everything is just "cured" by symptom removal.
