Once More With a Vengeance
LOVE AND DEATH, BULLETS AND BLOOD . . .
Sheriff Ben Stillman finds himself in the unenviable position of having to arrest a young man for murder on suspicious evidence.
But the cards are stacked against the young firebrand who calls himself Johnny Nevada. One, Johnny has gotten Judge Hoagland’s daughter pregnant, shaming and enraging Hoagland himself. Two, Johnny warned Dave Bliss he was going to kill him because Bliss ordered Johnny to stay away from Bliss’s daughter, Sarah, whom the young Casanova was also sparking. Johnny made the warning public and two weeks later Bliss was dead.
Now Stillman has Johnny locked up in his jail at the courthouse. The judge wants to try the boy pronto and won’t recuse himself though under the circumstances Stillman knows he should.
Meanwhile, a bank robbery in Clantick interrupts the wedding of Doctor Clyde Evans and Katherine Kemmett, giving the roguish doctor just enough time to reconsider his affection for not only bachelorhood but the pretty young waitress, Evelyn Vincent.

A very twisted story
Lots of suspense with lots of twist and turns. A Wedding holdup, lots of bad men doing lots of killing. Good ending.

This is another outstanding story of ongoing activities of Sheriff Ben Stillman's outstanding western adventures that just gets better with each individual release. I enjoy these exciting episodes, as Ben Stillman is a man seeking justice and doesn't quit until it has justly been served. This one is filled with one suspenseful episode after the other. Ben definitely goes above and beyond in his many outstanding accomplishments.
Definitely another five star masterpiece in the Ben Stillman series, as he strives to bring justice to an abrupt stop throughout his County as soon as possible. Doc is his usual lustful self but he manages to fulfil his medical endeavours,as well as giving Ben a much needed backup. Too, his Deputy Leon shows his toughness in helping to solve the loss of one hundred thousand dollars,p. There is enough gunfighting to pacify anyone's appetite, and the bad guys characters are unsurpassed in maintaining their many assigned roles to perfection!
Some of best storylines I have ever read, and I have read a few over the past two and half years. As always, the camaraderie among Ben and his good guys is unsurpassed. Mr. Brandvold consistently presents a very heartwarming and compassionate series of adventures, but the Stillman episodes definitely outshines his other books two to one.
Definitely recommend this compassionately outstanding western to all you followers of outstanding western masterpieces, as you will find it hard to set this story aside until the final paragraph has been read. Too, even you non-western readers will definitely enjoy this compassionately outstanding western adventure, even though it isn't your normal genre of reading. Just cannot put it down!! Try it! You will love it!!😁

PB. has. penned a western action adventure story about Sheriff Ben Stillman. SBS. Is recovering from the surgery from the bullet close to his spine. He has been on his feet for a month when the entire area seems to go haywire. More than one has broken the law and Ben and his Deputy are trying to figure whom us doing what to whom. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Good episode; honest and real.
This is a really good edition to the series!
I had to overlook the fact that Ben's intrepid bay horse, Sweets, inexplicably changes into a buckskin after 8 books...but there were less typos as well

Excellent story
Enjoyed the book. Liked the fact that he got is back problem corrected. Would like to see more of his family in the story.

Outstanding Book!
Very well written and edited story, truly enjoyable and exciting from start to finish. This tale has a fine plot with various characters of every kind.

Good four star!
Ben killed or but in jail all the bad one's. He had his back operation and got the lead from an old gun shot removed and is recovered -all is well.
