This book reminds me of a freshman college student writing a term paper the night before it is due. In that:
- it seems to have almost no editing
- there is almost no logical order to the chapters
- the explanations are usually bad and sometimes blatantly wrong
- it is riddled with formatting errors, grammatical errors, and typos (particularly bad for a book on coding syntax)
- the author likes to use big words but often uses them incorrectly (especially bad for a book aimed at "absolute beginners")
- the book uses outdated information with zero references
- in particular, the claim that python 2 is widely used when official support for it ends on Jan 1, 2020 (https://www.infoworld.com/article/336...)
- the book abruptly ends some chapters without covering some essential information
- See chapter 24: Python Loops (which completely omits any explanation of while loops)
- many points are often belabored as filler instead of adding actual value

In addition, it seems like the author paid for positive reviews on Amazon. There are a few dozen very fake-looking 5-star reviews. There's no way 90% of readers found this work flawless. Quite an unethical thing to do.

All of that being said, I do like the spirit of this book and I wish it was better. It's just not ready for anyone to learn from. It needs a LOT of work.

As a disclaimer, I read only the second half on Python programming. I consider my review generous.
