How do you humans beings differently understand science conceptions? This is a compendium of the research results covering a broad range of science topics in the Life Sciences, Earth & Space Sciences and Physical Sciences. Frequently these different understandings are called "misconceptions" but while they are different from the "school-taught" ideas they have their own underlying logic and are resistant to change. An effective science teaching and learning depends on taking these "alternative" beliefs seriously. Highly recommended for science teachers, educators, aficionados of the study science, etc.
