This is a great book. The author needs to be applauded for such a concise yet precise definition of all this Scrum, how it works and its relation to Agile.
As someone who has worked in an Agile environment (and thrived in it), reading a book like this on Scrum and how it should work was a very welcome refresher. Agile is NOT Waterfall Project Management split into 2 week increments, which is the battle I'm having at the moment. Kill me now!
Highlights for me was the chapter on responsibilities for the Scrum team. A lot of folks do not get the responsibilities of the Product Owner. This was articulated brilliantly.
Overall, highly recommended to all IT pros as a potential better was of doing things. If you are in the Agile/Scrum space, this book is a must.
This is an excellent intro to SCRUM for people that are new to Agile and are struggling with some of the terms, ceremonies and roles of the process. It's a simple but comprehensive overview and even provides some real world examples. The benefits and differences between Agile and waterfall are clearly described. I plan to recommend this to new team members as they come onboard to agile projects.
