There are better books out there.
This author obviously knows Arduino. However, the book did little for one looking to get started with programming these devices. Save a bit of time and simply move on.

Not Worth Reading
Even free, this hodgepodge of typos is not worth reading. Hardly for beginners, it wanders off topic into selecting alternatives. Find something readable.

Easy to follow with good references
I like how the author describes each project and is written in a form that is not only circuit charts, works on reading and engineering level.
