Just hours after returning home from his honeymoon, Logan Dodge receives the tragic news that two of his friends have been murdered in the Everglades. With no time to waste, Logan, his beautiful new bride, and the rest of his Key West crew, travel to the famous swampland to track down and rain justice upon those responsible.
It isn’t long before the former Navy SEAL and mercenary is hot on the killers’ trail, tracking them deep into the heart of the Glades. But his new enemies are ruthless and thirsty for blood. They know the swamps and they’re no strangers to ending human life.
Logan and his friends will need to summon all of their strength and wits if they’re going to put a stop to the innocent bloodshed. And serial killers aren’t the only dangers lurking deep within the endless miles of unforgiving swamps.
Diving, fist fights, airboat chases, alligator attacks, and blazing wildfires quickly turn up the heat in this non-stop action packed adventure.
Matthew is the author of the Florida Keys Adventure Series and the Jason Wake Novels. He's always had a deep rooted love for adventure and the ocean. He loves traveling, diving, rock climbing and writing adventure novels.
Logan Dodge and friends are on the trail of a serial killer/drug dealer who killed two friends. Some body count, but they way they die is interesting.
For an author that writes action adventure thrillers, one would thin Rief would know more about hand guns than he demonstrates. In an earlier book he mention a person using the safety on a Glock 17. Not just once, but twice. In this book he refers to a M1911 as a revolver, twice.
Late one night, on one of the late night talk shows, Sam Elliot was being interviewed about his newest movie with Patrick Swayze "Road House". The host, and I'm not sure who it was, asked Sam what it was about. Elliot looked at him and smiled, "Oh, it was about drinking, drugs, gratuitous sex, and violence." The host got a shocked look on his face, and said "Why did you do it then?" Elliot replied, "Because the movies with drinking, drugs, gratuitous sex, and violence are the ones that make money." Thankfully, Matthew Rief doesn't put a lot of drug USE (there's a lot of drugs getting shipped in and out of the Florida Keys though) and gratuitous sex in his books, but he uses violence, crime, really bad guys, and extremely good guys to draw people to read his books. Two more, and I believe that I will have got all that have been written in this series read. They're fun, interesting, and easy reads -- just what one needs during the stay at home, social distancing time -- it will take you 2 1/2 to 3 hours; and you will be glad that your spend your time doing that.
I have read the entire Logan Dodge series and I love it. For me they are a good recreational read. I really enjoy the opportunity to escape my own reality and put myself into Logan’s character. The way he describes the scenes, paints a clear picture in my mind. I enjoy the creativity he uses when his enemies reach their demise. All of his friends have found a special place in my heart
What a good read. This is #7 of Logan Dodge and a wonderful character I've groan to adore. His back for finding trouble is better than I have read before. But, still stays on the right side of law. The crew amazes me as they get into the fray. All in the name of for the good of the people. Read you will not be disappointed!
Of all the Logan Dodge books, this one truly tested Logan and his group of friends who believed that you always have the back of friends in their time of need. Even if they are no longer living... Especially if they have been murdered! Logan had to call on all of his Seal training, and the help of his friends to win this fight.
This book grabs you from the first page. I couldn't put it down. The author is so descriptive. You can smell the sweat, the boggy marshland, feel the swarm of bugs and looking for gators and snakes. Logan and his crew are superheroes who always get the bad guys!
Another barn burner of a storey. Usually you can guess some of the content, but not in this one. The author has only one problem in my mind, he can't write them as fast as I can read them. Another must read!
As my first experience reading a Matthew Rief novel, I am extremely anxious to read others. In addition to constant realistic action, his technical information of flying, guns, boats, etc. is correct!
Well developed story and characters. Good balance of action, mystery and relationships! Never a dull moment with Logan and crew! A must read and great addition to the series!!! Keep them coming! Ready for Legend!
Why a beautiful woman would marry Logan Dodge is revealed in another Florida keys adventure The bad guys have many reasons for wanting to rid themselves of the champion For justice and his loving wife.
This one takes you on an adventure chasing really bad guys into the Everglades to end years of mysterious killings that everyone assumes is a serial killer. Of course, Logan takes care of business.
Another great adventure. Already started the next one. Love that he uses the English language to the fullest without constantly filling in with offensive language. That's so rare these days.
