This book is a great reference point for us beginners. Dr. Fung and Dr. Berg, among others, offer the science on their YouTube channels and having their books adds to your knowledge base.

I liked the way the author gave the biological impacts was well as alternatives for accomplishing objectives. I plan to try fasting for weight loss and to stave off diabetes.
