I was certified as an admin this summer. I've been trying to find some guides to assist with better report building. The sections on formula functions and fields have been helpful. The sections on approval process, workflow, process builder and automation are worthwhile too. Great 👍 reference guide.

I would give this book to anyone that’s a salesforce admin on any experience level. Yes, a lot isn’t reflected of the current state of lightning UI but the core concepts ring true even if the execution is only slightly different or looks slightly different. This is one I find myself picking up again to remind myself of current strategies or to spark ideas on how to tackle scenarios at work. It has a directory of even further resources in the back and throughout the book. Yes we have Trailhead but having something paper to annotate and highlight on the desk seems quicker to me in a lot of aspects
