Another adaptation of a television episode, one with which I am quite familiar with as it appears on several of the Scooby-Doo collections. This time though the story takes up the bulk of the book. Scooby and Shaggy find a violin case that is loaded with twenty dollar bills. However while Shaggy goes to summon the gang someone manages to get the case away from Scooby. However a couple of clues lead the gang to suspect the money is counterfeit, and that a local theatre is worth checking out. They are able to get inside the theatre and search for clues. At the same time a figure wearing a dark cloak and hat is attempting to stop them. Eventually everything works out and the mystery is solved with the culprit captured. This was a decent adaptation of the episode. To the best of my recollection nothing is missing. There is one discrepancy however, in the television episode the female dog that distracts Scooby is another puppet. However in this story it is an actual dog. Really just a minor detail really though, one that doesn't detract from the story. It was interesting to not though that this was a much longer adaptation than in the two previous issues. There are also a couple of minor stories which are soley of a humourous nature. Nice but nothing spectacular. Still this isn't a bad one to read, especially if you are a Scooby-Doo fan. Happy reading
This issue solved a lot of the problems of the previous comics with actions being better presented, a less over explained plot and simpler storyline. It's definitely more readable and enjoyable than #1 and #2 but still not very grabbing.
