Delivers on the title description

My son is interested in learning to code and build computers, so we got this book since it claimed to be for beginners. This book definitely is meant for beginners but in a good way. The author starts with the very basics and builds from there. What I loved about this book over others is 1. There were lots of pictures of what my screen should look like or graphics to explain things. And 2. Each chapter had a short little quiz at the end. This really helped me and my son see if we were getting what was being covered. I love that! Overall, a great tool to.learn Linux.

Another computer language?

This book explains why Linux is the most powerful language of supercomputers. It explains shells and why it uses them as well as how to use them. It is written as easy to follow with a quiz at the end of each chapter to make sure you are following what they are trying to teach you. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn Linux and see for themselves how to use Linux.

For a true Beginner

I am/was completely computer ignorant. This book broke down OS and Linux very well. It wasn’t too advanced and now I’m on to learning what is next. I would like to learn how to build computers.

Good introduction

Useful introduction. Easy to follow along with a Linux computer. Could use better editing but no problems that stopped me.

Good, but Basic

Most of it I knew already so I was going for a review and making sure I didn't miss anything.
