Swamp Monsters in the Third Grade #3

Trapped in the Principal's Office

Rate this book
Jake knows being a swamp monster is supercool. But when his human friend Emily is sent to the principal's office for something she didn't do, Jake has to help. He ditches the slime to solve the crime! If Emily didn't do it, who did? Jake and his troublemaking sister, Nancy, are determined to solve the mystery—even if it means turning human themselves.

But what happens if Jake and Nancy end up in the principal's office, too? Can they make a clean getaway before someone gets a glimpse of their gills?

This is a humorous book about a boy who's friend gets sent to the principals office. He believes she is innocent and is determined to figure out who actually did it. However, doing so means that he and his sister have to turn into humans. I thought some of the things that they did while humans were very funny and wonder how no one realized that they were actually swamp monsters. I think students would genuinely enjoy reading this simple text and trying to imagine these fictitious things happening in real life. Overall, I would give this book 4 stars.

This book is a humor book about 2 gross swamp monsters who turn into silly humans and follow their friend Emily everyday. They do goofy things like spraying pudding on the school lunch room and picking in the principal's room. They are so powerful and exciting.

I liked this book because it has many pictures and it is a short story. It is also interesting because I like swamp monsters.
