This is a sweet an entertaining vivid description of the Samadhi Pada text of Pantanjali. This text (well known by yogis) has been translated numerous times and is one of the (many) foundations of yoga philosophy. It can often been dry and abstract, so this illustrated story (as if written for children, but is also very relevant to adults) manages to bring it to life. At first glance and if you aren’t familiar with the yoga sutras it may take a few reads (over a longer period of time) to grasp the concepts. In fact just like the Original text itself it is something that can be read over and over and will have different meaning depending on your stage of life/ yoga path. The translation at the back is eloquently written and it is nice to refer at each point to this original text in order to place the events in the story into a wider context.

A gorgeous, insightful labor of love.

Imagined, written, crafted and gifted to the reader with incredible care.

The insights are not small - this may come to be one of my favored texts on the Sutras.

For now I'm just putting this on my reading table to enjoy and re-enjoy for the winter. Beautiful and inspiring work for anyone interested in yoga, kids included I suppose :)

For both kids and adults! If you've never read yoga sutras of Patanjali, that's the easiest and cutest entry point one can imagine :)

Just as wonderful for adults as I imagine it would be for children. A delight to read.
