I found the introduction to this book to be one of the most interesting parts. He prefaces his theories of African-American's subordinate position but debunking the three fundamental ones that all other theories concerning this matter usually fall into.

The best and more unique thing about this book is that he always keeps in mind the actual day-to-day experiences of the people whose situation he is attempting to explain.

(more coming when I have the book next to me)...
