Catapult: The Kingston Chronicles Book 1 by J C Benthin is outstanding. Catapult is well written and very exciting. This is one of the best thrillers that I have ever read. Kingston is the younger brother whose father always preferred Jude, the oldest brother. When two men try to steel from the Port Authorities, Kingston stops them quickly . This catches the eye of Sam Waters, Billionaire, and owner of Platinum Security Group. Catapult lays a strong foundation for the characters with out being slow or tedious. The action is fast and I could hardly put the book down. I thought that the ending was a surprise but very believable. I can’t wait to read book 2 and see what Kingston does next! I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
I loved reading this book, it was filled with thrills and suspense, it reminded me a lot of the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz, one of my favorites growing up, and I look forward to reading the next ones that come out.
This is the perfect book to kick off your summer reading! It is super engaging from page one. I couldn’t put it down and I cannot wait for the next book to see what becomes of Kingston!
