Annabelle Pinchum stepped out in the sun
With her spotted umbrella,
and then there was one.
Annabelle Pinchum was walking alone when a nearby wind decides to blow her umbrella (and herself) into the air.

At first, she seems a bit worried...but soon settles in for the ride:
...she decided her mission
Was to enjoy the ride and do some ADDITION!
And so her adventure starts!

She flies all around town, meeting her friends like Robbie Abisbo and Tanisha Balbastic, all the while rhyming and counting.
Annabelle Pinchum had completed her act,
And now, she felt, it was time to SUBTRACT.
And back down she goes!

Overall, I found this one to be whimsical and delightful.

I loved the rhyming text - it is so important with short stories to have just the right words and I think Susan Srikant manages it perfectly.

And the illustrations! Oh I would be doing this book a disservice if I didn't mention the illustrations.

The children and adults in this book were appealing and well-drawn. I loved Annabelle's diverse set of friends and how their personalities were conveyed so well within just a few simple lines.

I did wish the book went higher - we count up to five and back down - mostly because I had so much fun watching the people get added on.

I would have LOVED to see more of them dangling off of each other (it sounds weird, but read the book and you'll get it!)

All in all, I was delightfully surprised that I had so much fun reading this one! At 26 years old!

I'm sure kids will absolutely love it!

This is a very cute and simple book to read to kids who are just starting to learn to learn adding and subtracting. The illustrations are wonderful, the wording is not overly done, meaning that when you read each page with the words and pictures, the child or children, can view the picture on the page, and still hear whats being said without their minds and thoughts wondering away with their short attention spans lol.

Great and fast book to read to any child. ^_^

I received a free copy of this book free for giving it an honest review.
