Broken Clocks and Amber Threads

Rate this book
Janon Tane finally makes his move. But no one anticipated how utterly prepared he was to tear Persephone and Piper’s lives apart to get what he wants. Now their world is crumbling around them and it seems Tane will stop at nothing to possess the third Hand, even if it means risking the end of the cycle to do it. Worse still, the shadows of Gispuknya have returned to destroy the Hands forever. As a three-way war brews between Tane, Gispuknya and the Ahns, Seph and Piper must seek out the Keeper’s three trials and unlock the gates of Tartarus. But the journey won’t be easy. The rules that govern the cycle are unraveling. Everyone is cheating. And soon nothing is as it seems. Can they reach the nexus within Tartarus and awaken the Architects before everything falls apart forever? Or will this be the final universe?

Harmon’s books are never anything other then fantastic.

The books are nothing like I have ever read before. You can never truly know what is going to happen next. The way he can just completely turn everything upside down and inside out is great. I truly never know what to expect. Usually when a book does that it is irritating and leaves me feeling unsatisfied. Not with any of his books. I only ever feel like it was they only way the story could have possibly gone in the first place. I really love how he has connected all his series in very subtle ways. He is really an amazing author and storyteller.

Wow, what a brilliant finish to the trilogy, with non-stop action, superb imagination and humour.

Seph and Piper are fabulous protagonists in the bizarre horror fantasy where they complete a quest or the world...no spoilers.

It was serious and disturbing and yet Seph's and Piper's personalities made me smile, even laugh at times...some great dialogue. Other characters were complex and intriguing.

Overall, a fast-paced and detailed, lengthy story...it's a shame it's ended...maybe?

Highly recommended.

Good Read!

I highly recommend reading the first 2 books in this series before this one, as this book relies heavily upon the background previously laid. I actually almost wish I had reread books one and two. ( I read them a while back). The author did a good job at " jogging my memory" with the essentials locked in my head, because so much happened in this sequel, it was hard to keep it all straight! Harmon has a gift for storytelling!

Fitting conclusion....maybe.

Harmon can't do wrong. Every book he writes is fantastic. Steph and Babs are great characters. Every character is detailed and I really feel like I know them after reading Brian's work. Cant wait for his next book.

A great open ending

I loved how the series ended but left room to spin out in another direction. I hope it does! I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

OMG! I loved everything about this book! I had such a good time reading this story. That ending! So many questions answered and some new questions arose at the end. This can't be the last book in this series! Ok I get how it can be and is but I just don't want the story to end. I would love it if Persephone and Pie popped up in future books/series. I need more!
