A ship arrives bearing comforts of home, and a terrible secret. When the visitors’ true purpose is revealed, Taylor finds herself fighting to defend her new home alongside unexpected allies.

Taylor and Char

Taylor is finding out fast as a young human female trapped in an alien world, what she is made of. For her life with Char is threatened when humans come to take apart the world and destroy the rest. She finds she has a backbone bigger than anyone thought. Making friends out of enemies and finding decisions that no 20 year old should make is a hard way to grow up but she does it. Can she save her new home? Does her mate and new family survive? A must read!!!! J. J. Mathews is an excellent story teller and can bring together a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Enjoy!!!!

Fantastic world building!

Taylor Neeran has been isolated on Aeden for a silly mistake! The sentence was to punish her mother but she is the one in exile. Then she gets a message from her university to say that her treatise on the flora and fauna of Aeden has prompted the university to conduct a more official study. Soomak, the Aarden dreamseer, warns her about these new arrivals but neither could have expected the death and destruction they could wield.
The world building is brilliant and the use of Maori traditions is beautiful. This is definitely a stand out series that deserves 5 stars.

We continue to watch our main character, Taylor, grapple with yet more adventure as she's stranded on a distant planet with the Illiya..some of which is predictable and others are not. An unexpected relief ship is not all that it seems. Get ready for more twists and turns. While this can be read as a standalone novel, but I recommend that you read the first book before diving into this one. That way you'll understand the history of the characters and the worldbuilding. Enjoy!

Loving this series

This is a really great scifi series. Once I picked it up, I couldn't stop reading. Love the characters ters, and I especially liked what happened to the different inhabitants and the alliances formed. So now I'm off to read the next book in the series. It's addicting. And I really love Char. The storyline, in my opinion, is quite unique and I highly recommend giving the series a try

Cool Planet

In the first book, I fell in love with the planet and the Illiya and wanted to know more. In this every thing blew up with lots of act and much more information. I ran into a lot of hmmm, I didn't see that coming in a very pleasant way. A very satisfying book.

A much darker tone to this book, with some satisfactory “hard” science fiction elements. This series seems to be getting better and better.
