Technically...I'm Still Single
When it comes to matters of the heart, there should be no gray areas. If everything was just black and white, there would be no use for words that require further explanations—like technically.
Technically…I’m Still Single, is a story about four people who all have one thing in common—their need to feel loved. These days, love seems to be the drug that everyone craves and wishes to experience, but doesn’t want the side effects that comes with it, commitment.
You could be married or in a relationship and still feel single. Settling for companionship or ‘situationships’ has become the chosen route to take for a lot of people, but even with that, there is still an issue with loyalty.
So, what does it mean to technically be single? You’ll have to read the stories of these characters to find out.

Deception is the demise of many relationships.
Kendall is a hair stylist who has a good life for herself. The only thing that she is missing is the love of her man, Harris. She is a sista that is practicing patience with her man and feels that there has to be better days ahead. Right? So, Kendall meets Kalib. Kalib can be the man that Kendall needs in her life but she is committed to the love that she has for Harris. Will Kendall go for the new man in her life that has potential or will she stay with that man that she been with and continue to work it out?
Shelby is new the area. She and her husband Dexter moved to Charleston, SC. to rekindle the love that they lost. Things are great with the couple until Dexter after a lovely vacation, starts to work late in the nights until the next morning. Shelby thinks something is up but wants to think otherwise. Then she meets Trayvon. A sexy artist that resides in the building of where she works. Is this move a new start for this married couple or Dexter bring his old tricks to his new location? Will Trayvon be the man that helps Shelby get over Dexter if he is cheating?
Kendall and Shelby form a friendship after a simple hair appointment. After a couple of outings together and simple conversations their worlds collide. Will Shelby and Kendall stick by their men and do what they have to do to make the relationship better ?Or will the find love with the new men in their life?
Someone will lose their life. Will there be remorse or will it be just another life gone?
Kudos to Courtney Coan. This is my first time reading a novel by you and I will stand and say this will not be my last time reading a novel by you. Reading a novel where I can picture places and feel like the fly on the wall while the characters are interacting is just awesome beyond words.
The character and plot development the novel was giving the feel of real life timing. The flow of the book they did not leave any developmental gaps that would leave the reader wondering why and when did this happen.
The ending. The Ending. THE ENDING. Talking about coming from left field. When you see the mind of the character start rolling and like they say one plus one equals two. Yes sweetheart. This leaves you with an ending you will never thought of.
