As a textbook, it accomplishes its task admirably. Has all of the essential information one needs for ground school. If one wanted an alternative which is written expressly to be easily understood by laymen such as myself, I might recommend "Rod Machado's Private Pilot Handbook."

The Jeppesen textbook has been a helpful resource.
