Does bottled water do more harm than good? Should clear-cutting for agriculture be allowed? Every day, we hear arguments about environmental issues in the media. This book gives readers the tools to make sense of and evaluate some of these arguments. Using relatable and accessible environment-related examples, this book introduces readers to the parts of an effective argument and prompts them to use the knowledge they have gained to evaluate the effectiveness of arguments on opposing sides of the issues. Teacher's guide available.

Computers verus waste or is it Writing on paper verus waste??
What should we do keep making smaller computers from wasteful electronics to harm the environment try to salvage using them in various recycling programs or use the trees which paper comes from or go back to materials to draw on dyeing our own colours from flowers and vegetables.
A dilemmas to with trying to grow millions of trees all over the world to sustain our own fresh air or killing endemic plants and the animals, mammals and people who care about their own little piece of paradise to people who'd rather a view and an apartment on an already eroding waterfrontage beach, river or wetlands.
