A very thorough exploration of the Unity UI toolkit. The examples at the end of each chapter reinforce the content and provide practical real-world applications for the concepts discussed.

Of particular note, is that most of the book is expanding the features available in a single game project and demonstrates how each concept can be iteratively combined. Where most books would be content to provide simple, contrived examples this cohesion of content is appreciated.

Like most Packt Publishing books, it is sadly let down in its editing. There are a number of typos, references to non-existent content, incorrect code samples and even missing assets from the code download bundle. The copy editing issues are not as egregious as some other titles, but hopefully they will be corrected in a future update.
