I was fascinated by the thoughtful introduction from Chapter 1 through Chapter 2.2. It is worth the time to read these beginning chapters to understand the concept and benefit proposition of precision programming. The remainder of the book becomes highly technical, somewhat rote, and personally mundane with very few nuggets of insight. ++ I found this 1979 edition hardcover book on a dusty abandoned bookshelf in a remote corner of my office building. It's the year 2023 now, and many of the book's concepts are effective and relevant today, however, the practice of precision programming is mostly discarded by the modern generation of programmers.
