Wow! This was huge! I'm still surprised by how fast I read this one. But, I seriously couldn't put it down. It was dark, intense, twisted and delicious. I love how the author delved into the psychology of the characters and the situations they found themselves in. Definitely not a book for the faint of heart, but the story was told in amazing detail that really sucked me in completely. I'm not one to choose au or crossover fan fiction, but I'm so glad I gave this one a try. I'll need some time for my brain to recover, but I'll probably reread this one again in the future.
A crossover between Supernatural and Criminal Minds. Castiel Novak is an FBI agent working for the BAU, and Dean Winchester is the man they've been hunting for several years. The story begins shortly after Sam dies during the trials to close the gates of Hell. Dean discovers Castiel is his soulmate. But they won't be together in Heaven if they don't meet on Earth, so to solve that, he kidnaps Castiel. After that, the story that unfolds is both horrific and touching. Thankfully, there is a happily-ever-after. It takes a looong time (and a lot of therapy), but the ending is sweetly satisfying.

Yay, finished this mammoth read with a little skimming along the way. Generally well written, a crossover between Criminal Minds and Supernatural. FBI agent Castiel is abducted by supposed serial killer Dean in the aftermath of Sam's death. Dean wants to get to know his other soulmate (as foretold by Anna).

An A03 classic. The psychology of the characters is wonderfully analyzed by an author who has done extensive research.
