This is a great book and it challenges the status quo of Christians who called themselves "Calvinists." Unfortunately, being a Calvinists these days means that you focus solely on TULIP and nothing more. In this book, DeMar pushes against that train of thought and encourages people to actually apply the "sovereignty of God" of Calvinism into every sphere of life. If God is sovereign, this means (to borrow John Frame's understanding) that he is in Control, Present in the situation, and has ultimate Authority over it all. In other words, God is Lord over everything and this includes more than our salvation. He is Lord over our money, work, education, hobbies, government, etc. As a result, we need to be people who seek to live as God would have us to live in every sphere of life.
