A bad comic sadly. This issue really highlights the problems in translating Scooby Doo into the format. The 1st story is all over the place with a different key event happening in every panel; Earthquake, ghost ship, alligator, fortune teller. None of which seem to flow with the story or have any relevancy until the end. Although by that point the conclusion seems rather contrived. In the second story we see how awkward it is to capture the action of Scooby Doo, in particular the monster traps. A full paragraph commits to telling us how the trap is capturing Scooby Doo and does so rather confusingly.
This issue really comes across quite messy and confusing. A bit of a worry when a child's comic becomes odd to follow for an adult.

As with the first issue there are two stories in this issue. The first story seems to be a new story, as I do not recognize it at all. Whether it is an unused script from the original series, or a totally brand new story I have no idea. It isn't bad but if it was an unused script I can see why it was unused. It is fine as a comic book but I am not sure it would have made a good television episode. The second story is definitely an adaptation of one of the show's episodes. I have seen that one many times. It is a good adaptation that doesn't leave out much, if anything. It is definitely a stronger story than the first one. A decent issue for fans of the original Scooby-Doo shows. Happy reading.
