The Job
Jon Kaine has landed in New York to commit a crime, but that isn't the problem. The problem is the girl who follows him into a bar – and the violence that results. Kaine is a psychologist, more at home with business meetings than bar room brawls. But as the situation descends into violence he's forced to awaken the part of himself he'd hoped to keep buried, and put his skills to darker use.

But the bar is just the opening act. You can't kick a hornets' nest and walk away...

This Complete Edition
This volume pulls together the complete 130,000 words of Execution Is Everything, including Part 1: The Girl, Part 2: The Breach, and the explosive finale, Everything Ends. With razor-sharp dialogue and a fast-moving plot, this is a cracking introduction to a flawed new hero.

"Surprising, inventive, and just sheer delightful." ★★★★★

Dr. Jon Kaine (30, PhD; psychologist), just met Lillian Grove (58) while on his flight.
Manhattan, NY. Edward Brandon (lawyer) came to see Dr. Kaine (aka Jake).
His client is Carol-Anne Janson (drug co. VP).

Professor Richard Phillips (PhD; psychologist) called & spoke with Dr. Kaine about Edward.
What are Dr. Kaine options now?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written thriller book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great thriller movie, or better yet a mini TV series. To be continued. It was just OK for me so I will rate it at 4/5 stars.

When I first read the short story of this book, I was very impressed. And when I found out he had extended it into a full length novel I was estatic. Same Jon Kaine, just more depth and detail.

Kaine inadvertently gets mixed up with the wrong people. A brilliant psychologist with a knack for really reading people, finds himself in a bunch of trouble after what is supposed to an easy job. He just happens to be in the wrong place at the right time. An undercover cop mistakenly takes him for a crime boss's leutenient. He is sucked in to a powerful underworld, that has the NYPD just as corrupt. There are a lot of fascinating twists and turns I wasn't expecting but was quite pleased with the outcome.

I must say for a psychologist he is pretty strong and cunning. He is the kind of character you will root for. He's not that saavy to what is going on but his brilliant mind figures it out and using his brains as well as what brawn he has to get him out of some sticky situations.

I highly recommend this book to people who seek thrills, excitement and a bit of mystery. The writing is excellent. You will not be disappointed.

I look forward to more books by this author.

As I read the first chapters of this book, I had my doubts. It seemed a bit slow moving, and I really didn’t care for the protagonist who appeared to be an arrogant, self-centered bore. But boy was I wrong!! Out of nowhere the story just took off, and the action never stopped again! I couldn’t put it down, and in the meantime, our unlikeable protagonist became a hero you could love and root for. I’d call that great character development.
BTW...I just had to read book #2; The Storm Beneath. No letdown at all there.
I am glad that I am a reader who doesn’t give up on a story too soon because you can miss a real gem!

Please, please, PLEASE don't miss this fantastic story by Nick Warren. Jon Kaine is a psychologist who's been through hell already when he receives a call from a fellow Brit offering him a short-term job with a law firm in New York. His trip to NY sets off a series of events that Jon is powerless to stop and he must use is considerable psychological skills to not only save his own skin, but also save the life of a beautiful female detective.

I've already read the second book (as a beta reader) and it's just as great as the first.

Loved the Psychology

I really liked this book. I loved the psychology used to outwit the "bad guys". And I really enjoyed the information about how the human brain makes the body react in different ways to differing circumstances.
The reason for a 4 instead of a 5 was because of the use of the F word. For those that don't mind that it's a great read.
Thanks for the book and I hope this review is acceptable.

The Complete Execution is Everything: Jon Kaine 1 is a very different mystery/adventure. There is a lot of deception and misdirection by the characters. Jon is not a cop or investigator, but he figures things out. He is also quite a manipulator. In my review of the prequel I pondered whether he was a bad guy or a good guy. Read this book and find out. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I am shocked that this trilogy was Nick Warren's first book; it's absolutely marvelous! The writing is tight and clear, the characters are fully formed and real, and the mystery plot is beautifully laid out and difficult to solve. I love Jon Kaine and his applied psychology! Give me more!

Fun and entertaining book. Nice to read a story about a guy who isn't a badass, but instead gets by on knowledge and reading people. Lots of twists that didn't seem forced. Held my attention throughout.

A good start

I liked this book as I have studied Psychology but towards the middle of the book all the psychology seemed to bid the story down. The end was well done and I had missed the clues. I look forward to the next book.

A very promising debut

Likeable and fallible hero, interesting characters, good plot, steady pace with no loss of attention throughout the trilogy. In all a very promising start.

If you have not read one of the Jon Kaine novels you are missing out. The book has plenty of twists and turns and keeps you in suspense. Jon is a wiz at working the smallest details out of any situation and sometime strays from the truth and the law. I would recommend this book if you like a book you cannot predict how everything will turn out in the end.
