This is the second book in the series, Turn of the Tides, which was written by two homeschooled siblings. The book answers questions begun in the first book, as well as adds new mysteries. It contains pirates, magic, monsters, and humor. I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the next in the series. These up and coming authors are fun to read (especially if you like dialog and great descriptions).
I love the books in this series! They are great for taking me away from the mundane. The characters are unique and interesting. It was hard for me to put the book down. I recommend it for anyone over 10. It is very different from the first book; the characters are in a completely different element. I definitely will read the next one and watch for other books by these authors.
Sarah and I had initially planned to go one way with the book, but the characters changed our minds. Our readers will find adventure, surprises, mysteries, twists and turns. Since many will not read this, we just wanted to give away a little secret. Watch for words and names spelled backwards throughout the series just for fun.
