Caged Inside My Own Head

"Life" is an accumulation of experiences collated by the mind into the shape of the person you were, are and may become.
It is the impression you give to people you meet and that which they imprint upon you.
It is the legacy you leave behind. The difference you made.
And you should never doubt that you have made one.

There is power in putting thoughts into words; there is beauty in wording it so creatively & conscientiously.
within these pages lie a journey of pain, sadness but also joy and learning.

With this comes wisdom.

"For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief"
-Solomon

Read these words. Learn a lesson from them.
Embrace life. Embrace love.

What an amazing follow up to No Rose Garden. Tracey opens herself up and shows us all of her. We see her battles with the demons in her mind that try to smother her in darkness, we see the love she has for her family, but mostly we see hope. She is struggling with depression but she reaches out and says "Yes you can"! I am in awe of the honesty and sincerity in these poems. Keep writing!

I loved the quotes that were placed between the poems, they really bring out the meanings of these amazing poems.

At the end of the book are several poems by Jessica House. These are also beautiful! The emotions of loss, frustration as you watch someone headed in the wrong direction and her awareness of the hatred being spewed in the world today. She offers us a respite, a plan, yes she too offers us hope. I hope Jessica will publish a book of her own works soon.
