Good story.
So this was a sexy menage story. I wasn't too into Cecilia. Even though she's sexy, she drank a lot and was a bit of a drama queen. Nikolaus was they typical alpha billionaire who falls for the hot princess but he is learning how to love someone so he isn't always the best at it. I actually liked Julian the best. He is hot but doesn't feel like he has to steam roll over people. He is the most likeable of the three and also seems like the most stable. There were some good supporting characters like Ame. Very cool chick and her husband is so supportive. Overall a good story with a decent HEA.

Once again, Maxene Novak has delivered a MMF book that seems to show that a menage relationship is inherently unstable and doomed to failure. I don't read romance to feel depressed or grim about the characters that I'm supposed to be cheering for. And in an MMF book, I expect that the HEA that occurs will be a healthy, stable relationship for all three characters - together. That is not what you get in this book.
There were good points that I did like about this book, which is why it gets 3 stars. First, I liked that even though they don't all end up together, Cece, Nik and Julian all do end the book happily. I also liked the animosity that Nik felt for Julian in the beginning - I felt that it added to the tension in the development of their relationship. Most importantly, I actually liked all three main characters.
Unfortunately there was a lot about this book that I didn't care for as well. I didn't like that the animosity that Nik felt toward Julian never developed into respect, but instead, pushed Julian out of the threesome practically before it formed. I felt that Cece overreacted to almost every situation that she experienced with Julian and Nik and it always reflected poorly on her.
There were details in this book that didn't make sense to me. How could Nik have expected to sleep on a flight from NYC to Providence? Even if he took a late flight, it's only an hour flight and wouldn't be worth trying. Next, how is it that Julian could top Nik in their first time with all three without Julian needing to prep Nik at all? I would say that it is pretty clear that Nik is basically straight and even when he has been with another man, he's never bottomed, but Julian was able to top him without prep and Nik didn't feel any pain and was even able to cum. I'm all for escapism in my romance books, but this just wasn't believable.
The final issue that I had with this book was in the construction of the story itself. The book is written in first person POV, alternating between each of the main characters. Normally that's not a problem, but in this book, the changes in POV happened randomly (not just with the change in chapters) and there was never any indication that the POV had changed, or who was speaking until after things had continued for a while. During the first steamy scene between the three, Cece's POV is sandwiched between Nik's. It made for a very confusing narrative. Compounding the issue, the transitions between scenes was very abrupt and there were a couple of times that I felt that I must have turned multiple pages because it just didn't flow smoothly.
Overall, I was underwhelmed with this offering.

I liked the characters at first but as the story went on I disliked the male characters. Nikolas and Julian end up being too much for me. Out of the three main characters, I only liked the female character, Cecelia. She was a great character and she deserved better male partners. They only wanted her and they did not want each other. If all three wanted each other in the way the MC wanted her, it would have been more believable. On a positive note, the sex scenes were well written.

I am sorry that I can only give this book 5 star because it definitely deserves many more! This is one of the best books I have read. I could not stop reading it until I reached the end. It is very well written and definitely one that I will be re-reading in the future. I would recommend this book to others gladly.
