She could face the past and the pain if it meant rebuilding her family’s company and saving their legacy.
That would be the easy part.
Facing Derrick, though … that was something else altogether.
She thought she left it all behind. The wealth, the power, the trauma. But when Taylor Preston fled from the gilded cage of her billionaire life, she swore never to return — until a desperate plea forces her back into the very world that shattered her.
Her family’s legacy is crumbling, and the only way to save it is to marry the one man she swore she’d never forgive: Derrick Fletcher, the enigmatic and dangerous bad boy billionaire who broke her heart.
As she navigates a web of secrets, lies, and betrayal, Taylor must decide if she can survive a life that once nearly destroyed her — and if love with Derrick is worth the risk.
Inevitable Inheritance is book one of the Inevitable Series, and the books must be read in order for maximum enjoyment.
Inevitable Inheritance is a spicy billionaire romantic suspense, with forced proximity, a second chance romance and a fake marriage.
For a debut author, this book was phenomenal! The relationship between Taylor and Derrick was raw and intense. Get ready to chuckle, blush and cry (get those tissues ready). The cliffhanger certainly makes you want more! Can’t wait to read the next installment.
This was a slow burn type of angst story. It definitely checked a lot of my boxes in terms of romance and k enjoyed reading it a lot.
I loved Taylor’s fire in the beginning and the end. Towards the middle it gets a little muddled. But in a way it fit with the storyline, how she evolved and matured along the way. Found a part of her old self while keeping her new self and freedom in tact.
Derrick, he was definitely not what I was expecting. He definitely developed all on his own and was that calmness and stability that helped ground Taylor.
Although their journey isn’t over, a cliffy of course in a duet, I’m curious how it all will play out for their much deserved HEA
For a debut author, this book had me from the start. Loved that the characters had history! Who knew a first kiss could be so hot? I only wish the hotter scenes came sooner in the book...or maybe more frequently!?!?!? Lol but still a great read, and with a cliffhanger at the end the only cure is to pick up the sequel immediately!
