Brilliant book covering a not so talked about sub type of OCD!

Giving examples of this type of OCD personally served as quite validating to me as well as helping me to understand how my own thought processes with OCD work. Well written!

Talking about how stress correlated with OCD was helpful too, I always knew my compulsion/obsessions grew worse with stress but I did not know this was a general experience for people with OCD. Greatly expanded my knowledge.

Learning that trying to directly stop the obsession was not the goal but instead removing the compulsive reactions was something I never really thought about before but made total sense. Again helped me greatly expand my understanding.

Also reading how anti depressants interacted with people with OCD and their general ways of helping was well put. I agree the tablets alone will usually not help, more rather removing the anxiety (For some) but it is still up to the individual to the use this advantage to work on their compulsions. Well said!

All in all an amazing book and I thoroughly recommend it to fellow OCD sufferers especially those who suffer from this sub type!

4/5 from me! Highly recommend!
