3D Modeling in Blender is your guide to the tools and functionality used to create or facilitate the creation of 3D Models in Blender. There are plenty of books about Blender and many cover the topic of 3D Modeling. The majority of books only give you an overview of 3D Modeling and teach you just enough to complete a 3D Model before moving on to the next topic. What is often missing is a comprehensive discussion of all the available tools and functionality at your disposal when modeling in Blender. With this book you will get a detailed overview of all the Blender tools and functionality related directly or indirectly to 3D Modeling. Each tool or feature is explained in detail with the help of numerous illustrations. Also included are plenty of tips, tricks and mini tutorials to help you get the most out of Blender.
This is a good, solid, reference guide for modeling in Blender. Just modeling. Not animation, or nodes, or anything else, just mesh work. There is no nonsense here, no funny stories or personal anecdotes, only the information you need to learn the particulars of modeling in Blender, presented in a logical and well laid out fashion, with exquisitely simple explanations for everything, and a wealth of nicely detailed example photos. I just finished working my way through this book today, and I am immensely satisfied with the experience.
Every penny is important to me, and I must admit I agonized slightly before purchasing this book. "What if it's just a regurgitation of everything that is already in the free tutorials online?" I needn't have worried. This book is one I'll return to again and again as a reference, as my skills continue to progress.
An excellent reference and step by step tasks to perform. Although it is for Blender 2.7x the lessons are still very useful providing you are comfortable with the new 2.8 UI.
