Really good, readable breakdown of cricket basics from a modern master. I learned a thing or two.

Cricket with Kane Williamson is a guide to batting, bowling, fielding and captaincy. Kane Williamson is the New Zealand cricket captain and will go down in history as one of the best batsmen ever for New Zealand, and maybe even the whole world.
Cricket with Kane Williamson shed light upon the fact that a little bit of technique will go a long way, in the technical game. It is a non-fiction book with a small foreword from Brendon McCullum, talking about Kane's understanding of the game.
For a professional sportsperson, I thought it was a very high quality piece of writing. Williamson kept himself within his boundary's and made sure he didn't leave any grey areas for the reader to be confused in. Another thing that Kane Williamson did exceptionally well was explain what he knew well in depth. For example, his explanation of the cover drive was amazing. The technical language used was words that all ages will understand. He talks about the key points of cricket all in depth. But that’s not all. Kane gives us a great insight into what he did in his life, in the build up to playing cricket for New Zealand (most of which was playing cricket.) He talks about meeting Daniel Vettori and being inspired to be a spin bowler, and then he talks about how to bowl spin.
Overall I thought Cricket with Kane Williamson was a very good book, with minor flaws if any. I enjoyed Kane talking about his young life, and how he put what he learnt there into practice for the long run. I would give this book 5/5.
