I enjoyed reading this book about the Apostles. Some of it I remembered from my Catholic school education.

A beautiful book on the relationship between Jesus and his Disciples. Each chapter focused on a Disciple (not all of them were discussed) and their time with Jesus. Each chapter would end with "Your Walk With Him" which would compare our relationship with Jesus and the struggles the Disciples faced. These men gave up their lives and followed Jesus for three years, providing companionship, witnessing his miracles, spreading his message and watching his entrance into his Father's Kingdom. They continued spreading the word of Jesus long after his death, most facing persecution and death for their beliefs. I'm so glad I read this book. I feel like watching "Passion of the Christ" again.

I really appreciated some of the points the author made. However, some of her imaginings of the life of specific disciples (she states in the beginning that the background offered was based on her imagination) was too far removed from what I understand of the reality of what their lives would have been like that it was distracting.
