This continues reprinting the original Semi Dual stories published during the second decade of the 20th century. Co-authors John Ulrich Geisy and Junius B. Smith tell interesting stories of the "occult detective", Semi Dual. Semi Dual is a Persian prince born to a Russian prince and a Persian princess.
Using his knowledge of several pseudo-sciences, he detects criminal activity. Knowing that the methods of astrology, hand-writing analysis, and the like, Dual ferrets out the miscreant. He proves his findings using more conventional methods, knowing courts of law will not accept the less tangible proofs offered in the mystic sciences. Semi Dual is a Sherlock Holmes type of detective, with a touch of esoteric philosophies and religious thoughts included in the recipe. Semi Dual is an intriguing character and more than well worth a read.
