I found this as an option on an international flight and decided to jump into one of my favorite stories!

It was a very well done production, but there were a few liberties taken that changed it a bit.

(I didn't love what they did with the Abbe Faria, but at least it helped drive the story. Definitely an interesting choice to begin at his death)

I've never read the book, so I can't say how much was changed/dropped in this adaptation. But I really enjoyed the performances and pacing. Sometimes I found it hard to tell the difference between the minor characters but otherwise I had no problem keeping up with the story.

Iain Glen was excellent as the Count.
